Happy Presidents' Day, Brilliantiers!
President's Day, An American federal holiday celebrates the birthday of one of the founding fathers of the United States (USA) and the first American President, George Washington.
In honor of George Washington's legacy, I believe he was a great warrior on the front lines as well as a strategic disciplinarian. With regards to politics and the political system, Washington served as Chief Executive for two terms (1789-1797) and oversaw the drafting of one the greatest legal documents, the United States Constitution.
Washington Brilliantly stated:
"A free people ought not only be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government."
"The Constitution is the guide which I never will abandon."
"Every post is honorable in which a man can serve his country."
"If freedom of speech is taken away, then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter."
